  • What threats has Trump made against countries that do not use dollar in trade?

Pars Today - Republican candidate for the US presidential election Donald Trump, claimed that he can stop the process of de-dollarization in the world.

The former US president, at a campaign rally in the state of Wisconsin, acknowledged that the removal of the dollar from global transactions is a growing trend, and promised American voters that he would maintain the dollar's status as the world's reserve currency.

According to Pars Today, Trump acknowledged at the campaign rally that the dollar is "under great siege" because many countries have turned to other methods for settling trade.

Trump also claimed that abandoning the US dollar would be very costly for countries that pursue this policy, and that after winning the election, these countries would face unprecedented 100% tariffs on imports due to trading outside the dollar system.

A number of countries around the world, including Iran, Russia, and China, have long been taking steps to reduce their dependence on the dollar in trade transactions. In fact, the US's maximum pressure policies on countries that do not follow Washington's policies, along with the US's use of economic sanctions, have led these countries to use national currencies in bilateral trade transactions.

Russian President Vladimir Putin previously stated that the United States has discredited the international financial reserve institution by using the dollar as a weapon.
