Pars Today – Amnesty International has condemned the Israeli regime's military attack on Evin Prison in Tehran during its recent imposed war against Iran as a grave violation of international law.

In a statement, Amnesty International called for an investigation into the Israeli regime's airstrikes on Evin Prison in late June during its 12-day imposed war of aggression, labeling the attack a war crime.

According to a Tuesday report by Pars Today citing IRNA, Amnesty's statement declared: "The Israeli military's deliberate airstrikes constitute a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and must be investigated as a war crime."

The Israeli military's bombardment of Evin Prison resulted in dozens of civilian casualties, along with extensive destruction and damage to the facility.

Amnesty International stated that its findings are based on video evidence, satellite imagery, and eyewitness testimonies.

The organization emphasized that there is no credible evidence suggesting Evin Prison was a military target.

On June 23, the Israeli regime attacked and bombed Evin Prison. While Israel claimed it was targeting military and security sites, its missiles also martyred dozens of civilians in the assault.
