Pars Today – Iran’s Foreign Ministry has described the complete occupation of the Gaza Strip by the Zionist regime as genocide, reminding the international community of its responsibility to stop these crimes.

In this Pars Today news package: the European Parliament’s criticism of Europe’s inaction over the Gaza crisis, Russia’s emphasis on regional solutions in the Caucasus, and the easing of border tensions between India and China are among the headlines.

Iran's warning about the ongoing genocide in Gaza and the responsibility of the international community

The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the recent resolution of the Zionist regime’s cabinet, which calls for the complete occupation of the Gaza Strip and the displacement of its residents, assessing it as part of the plan to complete the genocide of Palestinians and erase the identity and existence of Palestine.

In a statement regarding the developments in Gaza and occupied Palestine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran added:

"The Islamic Republic of Iran, while expressing deep concern and disgust over the continued massacre and genocide in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, as well as the assaults on Islamic holy sites in Al-Quds Sharif, and while appreciating the principled positions of freedom-seeking governments and nations in declaring solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people, emphasizes the responsibility of the international community to stop the genocide and provide immediate assistance to the oppressed people of Gaza."

Russia: Peace in the Caucasus should not be a pretext for non-regional interference

The spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, commenting on the signing of an agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, stated that the involvement and interference of non-regional actors in the Caucasus should not create further problems in the region. The best option is to find solutions with the support of Russia, Iran, and Turkey.

Maria Zakharova emphasized: "The participation and interference of non-regional actors should aim to strengthen the peace agenda and not lead to further problems and disputes."

European Parliament members criticize EU inaction on Gaza crisis

Ana Miranda, a member of the European Parliament, stated that governments must take necessary measures to stop the crimes committed by the Israeli regime in Gaza. Criticizing the silence of governments regarding the Zionist regime's atrocities in Gaza, Miranda added: "There is a big difference between the public stance and the official stance on the genocide in Gaza, and military cooperation between the EU and Israel must be halted immediately."

Earlier, the leaders of the Left, Greens, Socialists, and the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament sent a letter to senior EU officials, condemning the bloc’s inaction and failure to address what is happening in the Gaza Strip and other occupied Palestinian territories.

American doctor’s heartbreaking report on starvation famine in Gaza

Dr. Mark Brauner, an American physician who recently returned from the Gaza Strip, spoke about the widespread hunger in the region, stating: "Residents of Gaza are suffering from tumors and infected wounds due to starvation, and this area needs an immediate and unconditional ceasefire."

Since the Zionist regime’s war on Gaza began on October 7, 2023, the regime has carried out attacks and bombings and has also committed the crime of deliberately starving the people of Gaza. Since March 2, the complete closure of all crossings to humanitarian aid, including food and medicine, has intensified hunger and famine, turning the situation into what is now the largest "humanitarian catastrophe."

Tensions ease on India-China border; technical talks continue

India's Ministry of External Affairs announced that the agreement between New Delhi and Beijing on patrolling arrangements in the border areas of Depsang and Demchok has been implemented, while the provisions of previous border agreements in Eastern Ladakh remain valid.

According to the Indian diplomatic apparatus, New Delhi has also raised issues concerning trade barriers and restrictive measures in economic relations with Chinese officials, with these discussions being pursued at the working level.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of India emphasized that practical steps have been taken with the Chinese side to manage disputes and enhance communications; however, the process of de-escalation and finalizing border issues requires continued talks and technical mechanisms.
