Israel begins construction of military base in southern Syria

Pars Today – The Israeli regime's army has launched a large-scale operation in the forested area of Syria’s Quneitra Province in the south of the country, as part of efforts to construct a major military base.

According to local sources in Quneitra Province, the Israeli regime’s army claims that the purpose of the ongoing land leveling and excavation operations in the area is to expand its field of vision and enhance surveillance in a region where dense vegetation makes ground monitoring difficult. The sources added that the Israeli army is transporting large concrete blocks and other equipment to the area for the construction of a new military base. (ISNA)
