China strongly protests NATO chief’s provocative remarks
Pars Today – Following remarks by NATO secretary general about possible US secondary sanctions against Brazil, China, and India if Russia fails to reach a peace agreement with Ukraine, the Chinese Foreign Ministry has declared firm opposition to any unilateral sanctions.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte had stated that the US may impose secondary sanctions and exert pressure on Brazil, China, and India if no peace agreement is reached between Russia and Ukraine. In response, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lin Jian emphasized that dialogue and negotiation remain the only viable solution to the Ukraine crisis. He added that China firmly opposes all illegal unilateral sanctions and extraterritorial judicial overreach. (IRIB news agency)
