Pars Today - A German scientist active in the field of stem cells and a young Austrian scientist active in the field of laboratory embryos were jointly introduced as the winners of the sixth Dr. Kazemi Award at the Royan International Research Festival in Iran.

The Royan International Festival Award in Iran is held in memory of the late Iranian scientist Dr. Saeed Kazemi Ashtiani (1961-2005), the founder of the Royan Iranian Institute, to honor his efforts and keep his memory alive among national and international scientists. The award is given annually to a scientist who has made significant progress in the field of biological sciences.

According to Pars Today, Thomas Braun, a German scientist active in the field of stem cells, and Nicolas Rivron, a young Austrian scientist active in the field of laboratory embryos, were the winners of the Dr. Kazemi Award at the Royan International Research Festival.

The Dr. Kazemi Award has been granted to 5 prominent researchers from the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, and Italy since 2010.

For the first time, this award was given in 2010 to Professor Rudolf Saenisch from the United States, one of the most creative scientists in the field of developmental biology, gene regulation, stem cell biology, and treatment with stem cells.
