    BRICS planning to create an integrated scientometric database

Pars Today - The 12th meeting of BRICS ministers of science, technology and innovation was held in Moscow with representatives from China, Russia, India, Brazil, South Africa, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Ethiopia.

Last week, Russia hosted the 12th edition of this meeting. The meeting, chaired by Valery Falkov, Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia, was attended by the heads of delegations from the member countries, who outlined the priorities of science, technology and innovation in developing scientific and innovative cooperation.

Falkov in this meeting emphasized that technology is one of the most dynamic areas for expanding cooperation in BRICS, and announced that BRICS member countries plan to create an integrated scientometric database.

Sajjad Ahadzadeh, Head of the Center for Cooperation and Development of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Presidency, also attended the meeting as Iran's representative in the field of technology and innovation cooperation with the BRICS group. In his speech, he mentioned cooperation in the fields of nanotechnology, biotechnology, energy and renewable energy, water, marine economy, food security, artificial intelligence and digital economy as Iran's priority areas for cooperation with the BRICS group.

According to the BRICS TV announcement, the focus of the participants in this meeting was on the development of artificial intelligence and digital services, ensuring cybersecurity and improving access to information technology.
