Iran welcomes eternal friendship pact among Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan

Pars Today - The spokesperson for Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed the signing of the tripartite agreement on the determination of the junction point of the borders and the "Khujand Declaration" regarding eternal friendship among the three neighboring countries of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan.
Sadyr Japarov, President of Kyrgyzstan, Emomali Rahmon, President of Tajikistan, and Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Uzbekistan, recently signed the agreement on determining the junction point of the national borders of the three countries and the "Khujand Declaration" on eternal friendship in the city of Khujand.
In this regard, and as reported by Pars Today, Esmaeil Baghaei, spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, described this agreement on Friday evening as an important step taken by these countries toward mutual respect for territorial integrity and national sovereignty, confidence-building, and strengthening peace and stability in Central Asia.
Baghaei, referring to Iran's principled stance in supporting the efforts and initiatives of Central Asian countries to peacefully resolve border disputes and enhance regional integration, expressed hope that the trilateral agreement between Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan would ensure sustainable peace and stability in the region. He added that it would also pave the way for greater understanding and cooperation in various fields and strengthen economic growth and development among the countries of the region.
Iran’s relations with countries based on mutual benefits
In other news, Hamidreza Haji Babaei, a member of Iran's Islamic Consultative Assembly (Parliament), who led a parliamentary delegation to Tashkent, Uzbekistan, met with Tanzila Norbaeva, Chairperson of the Senate of Uzbekistan.
Stating that there is significant interest in enhancing relations between the two countries under current conditions, he added: "The foundation of Iran's foreign policy is multilateralism and engagement with neighbors." He emphasized: "Iran's relations with other countries are based on mutual benefits and operate on a win-win basis. We do not have any colonial or exploitative view toward any country, nor do we allow any country to have such views toward us."
