Pezeshkian: American–Zionist military attack left us no option but self-defense

Pars Today — Iran’s president said in a message addressed to the leaders of friendly and neighboring countries that the American–Zionist military attack left Iran with no option except defending itself.

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, Masoud Pezeshkian, President of Iran, wrote on the X platform:
“Honorable leaders of our friendly and neighboring countries, we tried—with your help and through diplomacy—to avoid war. But the American–Zionist military attack left us with no option but self-defense. We respect your sovereignty and still believe that the region’s stability should be ensured by the countries of the region themselves.”
