Pars Today – The American newspaper 'The Wall Street Journal' has analyzed Iran’s strategy in response to aggression by the United States and the Zionist regime.

According to Pars Today citing IRNA, The Wall Street Journal acknowledged, in reaction to the Islamic Republic’s response to US and Israeli military attacks, that Iran, after withdrawing from the 12-day war, has made a far bolder shift in its strategy.

The paper referred to remarks by the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution and his warning during the US military build-up near Iran’s coasts, when he had stated: "Americans must know that if they ignite a war this time, it will become a regional war.”

The Wall Street Journal added that this strategy, following the assassination of the Iranian Leader, has taken effect during the past week. Despite US and Israeli air assaults, Iran has managed to continue extensive attacks along a 2,000-mile front, drawing an expanding circle of countries and economic interests into the conflict.

The outlet wrote that “Iran will emerge from this war,” noting that the country’s security forces have shown no signs of defeat or internal division.

A budget that doesn’t exist: The Pentagon’s confusion in funding

Meanwhile, the American think tank 'Center for Strategic and International Studies' (CSIS) revealed in a new analysis that during just the first 100 hours of the United States’ criminal attacks against Iran, approximately $3.7 billion of American taxpayers money was burned through because of this war campaign.

The report shows the daily cost of the war for the US has reached the staggering figure of $891.4 million per day.

The most crucial part of the CSIS report—which could prove very costly for the Trump administration—is that $3.5 billion of the $3.7 billion total had not been previously budgeted by the Pentagon! In other words, the US Department of War had no preplanned financial program for this level of unforeseen expenditures.

The report stresses that the Pentagon will soon be forced to turn to Congress to request emergency supplementary funding to cover this huge deficit.

CSIS analysts warn that this funding request could become a “focal point for opposition to the war” within the United States. They say that the country’s high budget shortfall and domestic economic troubles will make any new spending request a serious challenge in US Congress.
