Pars Today – Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr has been appointed as the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran with the approval and consent of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution and by a decree from the president.

According to Pars Today, "Seyyed Mehdi Tabatabaei," the deputy for communications and information of the Office of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, wrote on Tuesday on his account on the social media platform X: "Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr has been appointed as the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council with the approval and consent of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution and by a decree from the president."

Previously, Ali Larijani was the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran, who was martyred during the "Ramadan War."

Zolghadr was born in 1954 in the town of Fasa in Fars Province. He has been a member of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps since its inception.

He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Tehran, completed his master's degree in public administration at the Faculty of Management at the University of Tehran, and is a doctoral graduate in strategic management from the National Defense University.
