Velayati: Key to Strait of Hormuz today in Iran’s powerful hands

Pars Today – A member of Iran’s Expediency Council emphasized that today the key to the Strait of Hormuz is in Iran’s hands.

According to Pars Today, Ali Akbar Velayati, a member of the Expediency Council, referring on X to the Islamabad negotiations between Iran and the United States, wrote: 

“The history of Iranian diplomacy, from Erzurum to the Islamabad talks, has one unchanging principle: the protection of our beloved Iran.”

He added: “Just as the ‘Ab al‑Hayat Strait’ has historically symbolized blocking foreign incursions into the heart of our land, today the key to the Strait of Hormuz is also in our powerful hands.”
