Pars Today – Iran’s Supreme National Security Council emphasized in a statement that the Iranian negotiating team will not show even the slightest compromise, retreat, or leniency.
According to Pars Today, the Secretariat of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council issued a statement on April 18, regarding the latest developments in the negotiations to end the third imposed war.
The statement stressed that the Iranian negotiating team will not compromise, retreat, or show leniency even to the smallest degree, and that it will defend, with full strength, the interests and well-being of the Iranian nation and the precious blood that has been shed in this war for the preservation of Iran’s independence, dignity, and honor—especially the pure blood of our beloved leader.
The statement continued: Through the insistence of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Zionist regime accepted a ceasefire in Lebanon. It was agreed that, if the enemy respects the ceasefire on all fronts, the Strait of Hormuz will be temporarily and conditionally opened until the end of the ceasefire period, only for the passage of commercial ships and not military vessels, and for the non‑military ships of hostile countries—with the passage controlled and authorized by Iran’s armed forces, and only through routes designated by Iran.
The statement added that Iran is determined to maintain supervision and control over traffic through the Strait of Hormuz until the definitive end of the war and the establishment of lasting peace in the region.
