Professor Farhangi: History of Iranians' bureaucracy is honorable
Pars Today- The notable figure of management in Iran, stressing that the record of bureaucracy in Iran dates back over 3,000 years, said, "The history of Iranians' bureaucracy is honorable."
The ceremony to unveil the book, "Analytical-Sociological History of Bureaucracy in Iran" by "Ali Akbar Farhangi", a professor of Tehran University and the notable figure of management in Iran, was held in the 35th International Book Fair in Tehran.
Professor Farhangi said during the ceremony on his book, "Analytical-Sociological History of Bureaucracy in Iran", "This book is the outcome of more than 50 years of my studies whose notes have been taken in six volumes and today one volume was unveiled which contains the analytical-sociological history of bureaucracy in Iran."
Explaining about the book, he stressed that bureaucracy has been honorable in Iran's history, and added, "In the first volume of the book, I have raised a series of theoretical topics showing that our land, with a written history of more than 3,000 years, was not administered haphazardly. Therefore, our forefathers have preserved it with toil and travail and different ups and downs; and have offered it to us so that we can offer it to the next generations in a more developed and better way."
This university professor continued, "The first volume contains the history of bureaucracy before Islam, in the advent of Islam and the era of the Prophet (Blessings of God upon him and his progeny). The second volume has been written about the Umayyad and Abbasid caliphs. The trace of Iranians after the rule of the Umayyad and Abbasid caliphs, which lasted for 500 years, is important and conspicuous in administering of the vast Islamic territory extended from the borders of China to the heart of Europe. This territory has witnessed many vicissitudes; so, we should be very hopeful of future. The DNA of the Iranian culture is very strong and it has succeeded to change the Mongol ethnicity, and I am very happy that, in the waning years of my life, I am touching upon the history of my country which is very brilliant."
Professor Ali Akbar Farhangi (born in 1942 in Taleqan, northwest of Tehran) spent his life studying and acquisition of various fields ranging from literature to religious sciences, and then language, management, sociology, economy and communications.
He has obtained his doctorate in management and his postdoctoral in the field of organizational communications. Scores of books and essays have been published by this prominent professor of Tehran University. Professor Farhangi was chosen as the notable figure in the field of management in Iran in 2005.
