Iraqi artillery attacks kill 24 Takfiri terrorists in Hit

Iraqi security forces have launched artillery attacks against the ISIL Takfiri terrorists in the city of Hit in the western province of Anbar, killing some 24 terrorists.
Major General Qassem al-Mohamadi, the commander of al-Jazeera operations, said the terrorists were killed as Iraqi artillery shells hit ISIL (Daesh) concentration centers in the district of al-Doulab in Hit, 70 km west of Ramadi City, the Arabic-language al-Sumaria news website reported Friday.
The Iraqi military recaptured the central city of Ramadi, Anbar’s provincial capital, last December.
He added that six other terrorists were also wounded in the artillery attacks that left the militants’ positions and weapons destroyed.
The report added that the Iraqi forces are carrying on with their military operations to liberate the Daesh-held areas on the outskirts of Hit from the control of the terrorists.The security forces liberated Hit in April after weeks of fighting.
The development comes as the security forces are engaged in a wide-scale military operation in the western province to liberate the city of Fallujah from the terrorists.
