At least 14 people have been injured in rocket and mortar attacks by terrorist groups as well as a landmine planted by Daesh militants in Syria.

In an attack in the northern province of Aleppo, terrorists fired mortar shells and rockets at Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood on Wednesday, leaving 12 people injured.

Meanwhile, two electricity workers were critically injured when a landmine planted by Daesh terrorists on Aleppo-Khanasir road went off.

The Syrian government forces managed to retake control of the strategic road of Aleppo-Khanasir-Ithriya in northern Syria in late February.

Separately, the Syrian army inflicted heavy blows on the terrorists in eastern Syria with scores of Takfiri militants killed and two of their machine gun-mounted vehicles destroyed in military operations south of the eastern city of Dayr al-Zawr.

The Syrian troops also destroyed a terrorists’ vehicle west of Dayr al-Zawr, killing all on board.

Five militants were also killed as the Syrian forces destroyed a pick-up truck east of Dayr al-Zawr.
