Pars Today – The Hamas warned about the worsening conditions of Palestinian prisoners in the prisons of Israel, stating that policies of repression will never force prisoners to surrender.

According to Pars Today, Mahmoud Mardawi, a leader of the Islamic Resistance Movement, said on Monday in response to the escalation of pressure and mistreatment of Palestinian detainees—particularly in Negev Prison—that what is happening in Israeli prisons, especially during the holy month of Ramadan, is part of what he described as the regime’s aggressive and official policy.

Mahmoud Mardawi said that depriving Palestinian prisoners of water, food, and medical services aims to break their will and weaken their resilience. However, he stressed that such repressive policies will never lead to prisoner surrender and will instead strengthen their steadfastness.

He added that the prisoners will remain “symbols of the dignity of the Palestinian people and living witnesses of resistance.”

Mardawi also called on Palestinians living in the West Bank, East al-Quds, the 1948 territories, and all free people to intensify popular activities in support of the prisoners, urging them not to leave the detainees alone under these difficult conditions in Israel.

The Palestinian Prisoners Information Office reported the deterioration of prisoners’ conditions in Negev Prison, stating that shortages of water and food, along with neglect of medical treatment, are seriously threatening the health of many detainees.

According to the report, several prisoners are suffering from acute physical problems due to lack of medical care, and some are held in worrying conditions without receiving adequate treatment.

The Palestinian Prisoners' Club also announced that prisoners and wounded detainees in Ramla Prison are in a difficult situation and require urgent transfer to hospital.

The organization said that the prison administration is delaying the transfer of prisoners to civilian medical centers and returning them to detention before their treatment is completed.
