The annual session of the IAEA General Conference begins in Vienna

Pars Today – The 69th General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has begun at the headquarters of this international organization in the Austrian capital, with the participation of high-ranking representatives from member countries.

The meeting is considered one of the most important annual events of the IAEA. Ambassadors, representatives, and senior officials from member countries will discuss a wide range of topics related to the agency’s activities and budget.

Mohammad Eslami, head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization, is also attending this conference. Before departing for Vienna, Eslami stated that this year’s IAEA General Conference is a very valuable opportunity to express Iran’s positions.

The 69th regular session of the IAEA General Conference will be held from September 15 to 19, 2025 (Shahrivar 24 to 28, 1404) at the Vienna International Centre (VIC) in the Austrian capital./Mehr News Agency
