Pars Today – Iran’s Foreign Minister stated that there is extensive evidence of US and Israeli involvement in the recent unrest in Iran, emphasizing that the rioters were paid to create insecurity.

On Monday, Iran’s Foreign Minister met with several foreign heads of mission and representatives in Tehran to review and explain the recent developments in the country.

According to Pars Today, Seyyed Abbas Araghchi stated that the terrorist elements in Iran acted in an ISIS-like manner, beheading some law enforcement personnel and burning others alive. He emphasized that the terrorists intended to cause even greater bloodshed, with many victims shot from behind by these groups. Public places, government buildings, and police stations were widely set on fire, 80 ambulances were damaged, and 53 mosques were attacked and burned. They even killed injured individuals in some cases.

Iran’s Foreign Minister further emphasized that evidence shows the terrorists themselves admitted to being paid large sums of money. For instance, huge amounts were paid to attack police centers, and all confessions and documentation are available. Video footage exists showing them firing at people, and even distributing weapons. Specifically, 80 million tomans were paid for attacks on police centers, and 20 million tomans for setting public sites on fire. Footage also exists showing them distributing firearms.

Iran’s Foreign Minister stated, “We recognize the right of protesters, but no country can tolerate rioting, the burning of people’s property, or terrorism. I hope some countries that took wrong positions will pay attention to the real events on the ground. More than 70 percent of the Iranian people see the source of this unrest as foreign, and 80 percent of Iranians have rejected these disturbances.”

He also emphasized, “We will certainly pursue, through courts and international bodies, those responsible for the deaths of Iranian citizens. We seek justice for those killed in these terrorist operations. We will pursue this accountability through international channels.”
