Imam Khamenei: Recent sedition was American and U.S. president is main culprit

Pars Today — On the occasion of the blessed Eid of Mab’ath, Ayatollah Khamenei, Leader of the Islamic Revolution, met with thousands of people from various social groups.

Praising the nation’s actions on the historic day of 22 Dey (January 12), he emphasized that the Iranian people have crushed the sedition, but it is essential to fully understand the nature and objectives of this plot, as well as the “well-trained” and “manipulated” agents behind it.

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution described the nature of the recent sedition as American and explained the main objective behind U.S. plots, stating: “The continuous goal and policy of the United States—not just its current president—is to swallow Iran and reimpose its military, political, and economic dominance over the country. A nation of this size, population, resources, and scientific and technological achievements—situated in such a sensitive geographic location—is simply intolerable to them.”

Ayatollah Khamenei described the U.S. President’s remarks, in which he referred to the rioters and killers as the Iranian people, as a grave accusation against the nation. He stated: “The U.S. President openly encouraged the seditionists, and behind the scenes, the United States and the Zionist regime provided support to them. Therefore, we hold the U.S. President responsible—both for the casualties and damages, and for the slander he directed at the Iranian nation.”

Imam Khamenei: The Iranian people crushed the sedition

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution emphasized that the Iranian people have defeated the sedition, saying: “Through their massive mobilization on January 12, the Iranian nation turned this day into a historic day in their book of numerous achievements, and by firmly silencing the loudmouths of the claimants, they put the sedition to rest.”

The Leader noted that the exaggeration of the small number of seditionists in the global media and news agencies affiliated with the Zionists, alongside the denial or downplaying of the vast Iranian turnout on January 12, reflects their usual practices. He added: “These actions do not change reality. The reality is exactly what the nation witnessed with their own eyes in Tehran and other cities.”
