Pars Today – The spokesperson for Iran's negotiating delegation said there are no negotiation meetings with the United States planned at any level in the coming days, stressing that the U.S. delegation's reported trip to Qatar is unrelated to the visit by the Iranian delegation, which is aimed at following up on the implementation of the memorandum of understanding.
According to Pars Today, citing IRIB News Agency, Esmaeil Baqaei, spokesperson for the negotiating delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran, responded to reporters' questions by emphasizing that Iran is currently focused on implementing the provisions of the memorandum of understanding.
He stated:
"The Islamic Republic of Iran's current priority is to ensure the implementation of the provisions of the memorandum of understanding, and we are seriously pursuing our demands in this regard."
Responding to a question about the implementation of various provisions of the memorandum—including those related to oil sales and Iran's access to its frozen assets—Baqaei said:
"Regarding the U.S. commitment under Article 10 (oil sales), the necessary authorizations have been issued by the United States, and we are monitoring the implementation process. As for Article 11 (the release of Iran's frozen assets), the implementation process is also underway."
He added that, within this framework, an Iranian technical delegation will travel to Doha later this week to follow up on the implementation process.
Baqaei was also asked about the start of negotiations on a final agreement within the framework of the designated working groups. He replied:
"We have not yet entered the stage of negotiating a final agreement. Under Article 13 of the memorandum of understanding, the launch of negotiations on a final agreement is conditional upon the commencement and continued implementation of Articles 1, 4, 5, 10, and 11."
Commenting on reports that senior U.S. representatives would travel to Doha at the same time as the Iranian technical delegation, Baqaei emphasized:
"There will be no negotiation meetings with the U.S. side at any level in the coming days. The fact that U.S. representatives are traveling to Qatar has no connection with the visit of the Iranian delegation, which is taking place to follow up on the implementation of the memorandum of understanding, including Article 11."
