The Leader's top aide for international affairs Ali Akbar Velayati underlined Iran's strong opposition to the issue of renegotiation on the internationally-endorsed 2105 nuclear deal.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran will not renegotiate the nuclear deal at all," the senior advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei told reporters in Tehran on Tuesday.
Noting that the nuclear deal was the result of long negotiations between Iran and the 5+1 group of countries (the US, Russia, China, Britain and France plus Germany), he said, "Any doubt by any country about the agreement is not accepted at all and we don’t accept such proposals such as renegotiations."
Earlier, Iranian Vice-President and Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali Akbar Salehi underlined that Tehran would never accept to renegotiate its 2015 nuclear deal with the P5+1.
"We are not supposed to renegotiate the nuclear deal. The negotiations have been held and we have said this on different occasions. Therefore, the nuclear deal will remain as it is and this will benefit all," Salehi said.
"Actually, there is no more room for renegotiating the nuclear deal," he stressed.
