Former Obama official: US must recertify Iran

A former Obama administration State Department official has said the Trump administration must recertify Iran’s compliance with the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) or risk not being able to negotiate with North Korea.

Former Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs Wendy Sherman, in a speech Wednesday in Washington, D.C., said: "North Korea will see this as we are unreliable and we don't have credibility. And that no matter what kind of deal, we will not uphold it ...

It doesn't make us tougher with North Korea. It isolates us from all the rest of the world."
