US not trustworthy: Ayatollah Seddiqi
Tehran's interim Friday Prayer Leader strongly criticized Washington’s anti-Iran measures especially after nuclear deal between Tehran and world powers, and stressed that the US proved it is not trustworthy.
According to Tasnim News Agency, addressing a large group of worshippers in Tehran, Ayatollah Kazem Seddiqi pointed to the nuclear deal between Iran and Group 5+1 also known as Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and said in the post-JCPOA era, Washington's hostilities were not decreased.
“Today, some people have the courage to acknowledge that the US is not trustworthy,” he noted in an apparant address to certain political groups that had a positive view of the US during the nuclear talks.
Commenting on the US demand for limiting Iran’s missile capabilities and Washington's measures against the country's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), Seddiqi said that “the US want to disarm and eradicate us” by raising issues like Iran’s missile program and the country's regional influence.
He pointed to Daesh decline in Syria and Iraq and said that “IRGC was at the frontline of fighting Daesh and terrorists.”
