Arba’een pilgrims in the holy city of Najaf

According to Iran Press, as Arba’een day approaches, thousands of pilgrim's flock towards the Iraqi holy cities of Najaf and Karbala to participate in the grand commemoration of Imam Hussein (PBUH).
Arba’een, which is one of the largest religious gatherings in the world, comes 40 days after Ashura, the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (PBUH), the third Shias’ Imam.
Each year, a huge crowd of people flock to the holy city of Karbala, where the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (PBUH) is located, to perform mourning rites.
