Yemen's Ansarullah movement says delegates loyal to Saudi-backed resigned President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi are blocking UN-brokered Yemen peace talks in Kuwait.

According to Press TV, Ansarullah Spokesman Mohammed Abdulsalam tweeted on Thursday "The forces of aggression are blocking political discussions in Kuwait... by invoking false pretexts alongside a serious escalation."

On Tuesday, Yemen's Ansarullah leader also criticized delegates loyal to Hadi for abandoning troubled peace talks.

Abdel Malek al-Houthi said his Ansarullah movement had already signed a ceasefire deal and accused the other side of stonewalling peace efforts and not abiding by the truce.

He said a political solution to the Yemen conflict is close at hand, but the obstinacy of the invading countries is an impediment to that goal.

Yemen has seen under almost daily military attacks by Saudi Arabia since late March 2015. More than 9,500 people have been martyred in Saudi airstrikes during 13 months of Riyadh’s military campaign against the impoverished Arab country.
