A glance at Palestinian population since fabrication of Israeli regime
Pars Today- The Palestinian Central Statistics Office announced that the number of Palestinians inside Palestine and abroad has increased nearly ten-fold since the Nakba Day in 1948.
The word "Nakba" is reminiscent of two very evil memories in the minds of Palestinians and public opinion: first was the formation of the Zionist regime in 1948 and second the expulsion of over 800 thousand Palestinians from their motherland in the same juncture in time. Nakba Day not only is the symbol of the disaster that befell on the Palestinian territory, but also indicates the hardships and challenges which have been imposed on this nation for the past decades.
Destruction of more than 675 cities and villages, occupation of the Palestinian-inhabited regions and turning them into Zionist settlements, expulsion of Palestinians, devastation of the heritage and monuments of the Palestinians' national identity and replacement of Arab names with Hebrew ones are among the measures taken by the Occupying regime since 1948.
The aim of these crimes is to put into action the ominous scheme of forceful emigration of Palestinians from their motherland, but according to the statistics of different institutions, it seems that the Zionists have failed in achieving this goal. This office announced in a statement,
"In spite of homelessness of approximately 1 million Palestinians since 1948 and more than 200 hundred others since the June, 1967 War, the number of Palestinians reached 14.63 million in the world in the end of 2023."
According to the statistics, out of this number, 5.55 million live inside Palestine and nearly 1.75 million Palestinians reside in the 1948 Occupied Territories. The number of the Palestinians residing in the Arab countries has been registered as 6.56 million and around 772 thousand others live in the foreign countries.
The statement then continues, "Therefore, the number of the Palestinians in Palestine has reached 7.3 million, and this is while, the number of the Jews till the end of 2023, was estimated as 7.2 million. This means that the number of the Palestinians is more than the Jews in Palestine."
This statement also says on the number of the Palestinian martyrs during the 76 years of clashes with the Zionist regime, "More than 134 thousand have been martyred by Zionists since the 1948 Nakba Day in defense of the rights of the Palestinian nation."
According to this report, the number of martyrs since the start of the al-Aqsa Intifada in 2000 till April 30, 2024 has been nearly 46 thousand, and during the invasions of the Zionist regime to the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023 till May 7, 2024, over 35 thousand Palestinians have been martyred.
The Palestinian Statistics Organization then reported that among the victims of the Gaza war, more than 14,873 are children, 9,801 are women, more than 141 are reporters and journalists, and over 7000 citizens are also missing most of whom are women and children.
Today, the Zionist regime is plunged in numerous problems. On the one hand, it is facing with severe internal problems, and on the other hand, the real image of the regime has been exposed to the world people and this issue has caused formation of a wave of protests against the crimes of the regime throughout the world and even inside the [main] ally and supporter of the Zionist regime, the United States.
After several decades of crimes, the Zionist regime, is now facing with not only the international pressures and internal differences, but also the unity of various fronts of the axis of resistance from Palestine to Lebanon, Yemen and Iraq; a unity that has bewildered the Zionists, because on the one hand, in addition to the heavy blows of the resistance in Gaza, Yemenis have disturbed the Zionist regime's maritime trade with special and unique operations in the Red Sea; and on the other hand, the Lebanese Hezbollah has made part of the regime's military ability busy in the Northern front, while the Iraqi resistance, too, is attacking Tel Aviv's vital targets.
Considering the results of resistance during 76 years of Nakba (disaster), today, too, resistance and unity among the Palestinian groups and other resistance groups of the region is the best choice in the struggle against the child-killer and usurper regime, because Zionists never understand and observe human rights and democratic plans. Thus, resistance in the current form can take the Palestinian nation nearer than ever to their final and ideal phase to liberate their occupied territory and achieve their rights, including the right to return.
