Israeli settlers set fire to two Palestinian homes and a mosque

Pars Today – In the latest attack by Israeli settlers on Palestinian communities, two homes and a mosque in the village of Al-Tuwani, south of Hebron, were set ablaze.

According to Pars Today, citing Fars News Agency, Israeli settlers on Saturday night torched two Palestinian homes and a mosque in the village of Al-Tuwani, located in the Masafer Yatta area south of Hebron, causing extensive damage.

Local sources said that the settlers stormed the village and used incendiary materials to set fire to the mosque and the two residential buildings while Israeli soldiers provided them with protection.

The sources added that, during the raid, the settlers also vandalized Palestinian property, including a vehicle.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian Ministry of Endowments condemned the attack, describing the burning of the mosque as a crossing of all red lines. In a statement, the ministry said that the attack on the mosque constituted a full-fledged act of terrorism carried out with the backing of Tel Aviv and aimed at displacing Palestinians from the Masafer Yatta region.

The ministry held Israel fully responsible for the attack and its consequences, warning that the international community’s silence in the face of settler violence would only encourage further attacks.

It also called on the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and international human rights organizations to intervene immediately, hold Israel and the settlers accountable, and provide urgent international protection for Palestinians and Islamic and Christian holy sites.
