Over 100 FSA militants receive gov't amnesty in northern Syria
More than 100 members of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) that laid down arms and applied for amnesty by Damascus, the Russian Reconciliation Center for Syria reported on Saturday.
The Russian center said that 120 FSA militants, who endorsed the peace agreement with the Syrian Army in northern Aleppo, received government amnesty from the peace committee and returned to normal life.
The Russian Defense Ministry announced in its latest report on Monday that almost 2,250 regions, towns and villages have joined peace with the Syrian Army nationwide.
The ministry said that militants in more regions handed over their weapons to the Syrian Army and applied for government amnesty, adding the total number of the towns, villages and regions that endorsed the peace plan stands at 2,248.
