Pars Today – A prominent American analyst said that the United States does not have the capability to impose a naval blockade on Iran and will not succeed.
According to Pars Today, Jeffrey Sachs, an American economist and prominent analyst, said in an interview—referring to the current poor state of the global economy caused by the U.S.‑Israeli war against Iran—that Washington’s naval blockade against Tehran amounts to piracy, and the United States will ultimately fail to blockade Iran because it lacks the naval capacity to do so. Sachs also noted the pressure the war against Iran has imposed on the American people, saying: “Americans are suffering from this senseless war we are in.”
This American economist, pointing to the decline of U.S. military dominance, added: “One of the lessons of the war against Iran is that U.S. military dominance in the world is no longer significant. The issue is the rise of a new military power in the world called Iran.” Sachs went on to call the United States the most dangerous country in the world, saying: “The U.S. is on the wrong path, irrational, and very poorly led.”
Meanwhile, The New York Times reports growing political and economic challenges stemming from the war against Iran—a war which, according to the outlet, was initiated by U.S. President Donald Trump and is now facing complex and costly realities.
