US President Donald Trump
Pars Today – According to a new Economist/YouGov poll, US President Donald Trump’s approval rating has fallen to its lowest level, with only one in three Americans approving of his performance.
According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, the poll, released on Tuesday, showed that only 33 percent of Americans approve of Trump’s job performance, down three percentage points from the previous week. This is the lowest approval rating recorded for Trump in YouGov polling since he returned to power in 2025.
Alongside Trump’s continued decline in the polls, a majority of Americans—60 percent—said they do not consider the US president “honest and trustworthy.” According to the latest poll, 65 percent of respondents said the United States is heading in the wrong direction, two percentage points higher than in a poll conducted in late July.
The latest poll also found that Trump’s age remains a concern for the American public, with 53 percent saying they believe Trump, at age 80, is too old to serve in the White House.
The Economist/YouGov poll was conducted from August 7 to 10 among 1,589 US adults.
