Pakistan: Two killed, several injured after blast rocks Karachi

Two people were killed and at least eight more were injured after a blast in the Quaidabad area of Karachi on Friday.

According to Press TV, police responded to the incident and a bomb disposal unit was dispatched. It is thought a bomb had been placed near a vendor's cart and put on a timer.

"The explosion was very powerful. The bomb destroyed a fruit market. The blast shattered the windows of nearby buildings and caused a power outage in the entire area," an eyewitness explained.

No group or individuals have claimed responsibility for the blast.
