Welcome to this week's episode of the series Find Out More About the Islamic Revolution. Today, we discuss some of the distinguishing aspects of Iran's Islamic Revolution, in comparison to other revolutions.

In previous weeks, we pointed out that Iran's Islamic Revolution is considered as a unique event within the realm of global developments, which maintains a number of differences with other major revolutions around the world. In the meantime, some of these differences were enumerated in previous weeks. One of the unique aspects of Iran's Islamic Revolution is its call for administration of justice, which is rooted in the religious identity of the Islamic Revolution.

Justice is a concept which is embedded in the divine, innate nature of mankind. Undoubtedly, administration of justice paves the way for materialization of human dignity, and has been the age-old aspiration of oppressed human beings throughout the course of history. Therefore, administration of justice has been the cornerstone of the movements of divine prophets. The sacred religion of Islam is based on justice and moderation. Meanwhile, Iran's Islamic Revolution which is founded on pure Islamic teachings has set fulfillment of justice as one of its main goals and ideals. The Father of Islamic Revolution, late Imam Khomeini (God's mercy upon him) pointed out that one of the aims of Iran's Islamic Revolution is to serve justice; prevent injustice; and to establish the rule of law. To this end, late Imam enumerated the manifestations of social and economic justice, while naming cases such as supporting the downtrodden; serving the disadvantaged strata; eliminating poverty and class gaps as the steps taken into account for materialization of justice, and fulfillment of the inalienable rights of the downtrodden.

The profound views of late Imam in regards to justice led to the development of the Islamic Revolution. Late Imam introduced justice as the main dialog of the Islamic Revolution, which was the demand of Holy Quran, and the pure Islamic culture. Late Imam granted an ideological aspect to the concept of justice. In fact, administration of justice was introduced as the superior dialog of the Islamic Revolution, covering all of the angles and foundations of human life.

One of the distinguishing aspects of Iran's Islamic Revolution in the global scene has been the negation of the existing inequalities and injustices embedded in the world order; which are to the benefit of world powers and to the detriment of small and weak countries.

In the viewpoint of the Founder of Islamic Republic of Iran, late Imam Khomeini (God's mercy upon him), unless global justice is fulfilled, speaking about sustainable global peace is pointless.

Late Imam, as the architect of Iran's Islamic Revolution always criticized the non-existence of the fundamental element of justice in the Western ideology.

Islamic Revolution's demand for justice puts emphasis on the campaign against Global Arrogance, the hegemonic powers, and injustice. The Father of Islamic Revolution, late Imam (God's mercy upon him) noted that we are duty-bound to campaign against injustice. One of the root causes of the enmity and animosity of major powers toward the Islamic Republic of Iran, is related to the sacred Islamic system and Islamic Iran standing firm against the injustices embedded in the world order. With due regards to this important fact, Islamic Republic of Iran is against the veto right within the world order, considering it to be an important factor in escalation of global injustices and inequalities.

The important point is that in past four decades, Iran's Islamic Revolution has never derailed from its righteous path and continues to be committed to its original ideals and goals.

The Leader of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, referred to the French revolution, noting that: "French revolution finally emerged victorious. But, it didn't even last for 15 years. The French revolution was against the monarchic system. However, less than 15 years after the start of the revolution; Napoleon began to rule with an iron fist. Later on, the French revolution was completely forgotten. Those groups who were ousted by the French revolution, were reinstated and ruled for several years. The people of France did not manage to maintain and safeguard their revolution. The Russian revolution also displayed a similar path, one way or another. For a revolution to remain, to safeguard itself, to stand firm against its enemies, and overcome its foes is a matter of huge importance. Iran's Islamic Revolution is the only revolution which has fulfilled this task."
