Pars Today – Ministers from the Hezbollah and Amal movements in Lebanon’s cabinet emphasized that there should be no discussion about disarming the resistance until the Israeli occupation regime withdraws from southern Lebanon.

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB News Agency, the Lebanese government convened on Thursday at Baabda Palace to review the conspiracy proposal by Tom Barrack, the US envoy, aimed at disarming Hezbollah.

The Lebanese president is reportedly trying to persuade Hezbollah and Amal ministers to agree to Hezbollah’s disarmament.

The “Loyalty to the Resistance” parliamentary bloc affiliated with Hezbollah stressed that Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam’s adherence to the US envoy’s proposals amounts to a coup against the commitments he pledged in his ministerial statement.

The Amal Movement, led by Nabih Berri, Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, also criticized Prime Minister Nawaf Salam’s government decision to offer free concessions to the Zionist regime by disarming the resistance.
