Australia’s recognition of the State of Palestine
Pars Today – On Monday, the Australian Prime Minister announced that his country will recognize the independent State of Palestine at the United Nations General Assembly.
Anthony Albanese said: Today, I can confirm that at the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in September, Australia will recognize the State of Palestine. The Australian Prime Minister added that his country will recognize the right of the Palestinian people to have a state of their own based on the commitments it has received, and "we will cooperate with the international community to make this right a reality."
This move by Australia comes after a number of European countries have recognized Palestine as a state, which has caused anger and criticism from the Zionist regime. Some European countries are also considering or taking steps to recognize Palestine, including Spain, Ireland, Norway, and Malta.
