Saeid Afrooz gains Iran's eighth gold medal in Paralympics 2020

Javelin thrower Saeid Afrooz won another gold medal for the Iranian delegation in the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
According to Tasnim news agency, he seized the gold medal with a throw of 40.05 meters, ahead of Colombian throwers Mauricio Valencia and Diego Fernando Meneses with 37.84 and 37.11 meters, respectively.
It was Iran’s eighth gold medal in the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
Rouhollah Rostami (powerlifting), Vahid Nouri and Mohammad Reza Kheirollahzadeh (judo), Amir Khosravani (long jump), Mahdi Olad (shot putter), Sareh Javanmardi (air pistol SH1) and Hashemiyeh Motaghian Moavi (seated javelin) have already won seven gold medals for Iran.
