Another hospital in Gaza has been closed down because of the continued Israeli blockade, which has forced health centers to cease operations due to lack of fuel.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society announced on Sunday that the al-Quds Hospital, located in the Tel al-Hawa area of Gaza City in the northern Gaza Strip, was out of service and no longer operational.

It said the cessation of services in the hospital was because of power outages that had been caused by fuel shortage.

More than half of hospitals in Gaza have closed down in recent weeks because of Israel’s refusal to lift a crippling blockade on the enclave.

That comes as people in Gaza are facing a dire humanitarian situation because of the Israeli regime’s continued attacks on the civilian infrastructure in the enclave.

More than 11,100 people have been killed and tens of thousands have been injured in over five weeks of Israeli aggression on Gaza.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society said in its Sunday statement that the international community and signatories of the Fourth Geneva Conventions were responsible for the complete breakdown of the health system in Gaza which it said was a result of the Israeli regime’s targeted blockade on hospitals.
