Araghchi: They have come to Syria after Gaza and Lebanon
Pars Today- Iran's foreign minister, saying that the recent developments will not be restricted to Syria, made it clear, "Terrorism and the developments in Syria threaten the Iraqi security, too."
In an interview with the Iraqi channel, al-Sharqiya, the Iranian Foreign Minister, Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, said that the developments in West Asia are occurring very rapidly which bring many questions to the mind. He made it clear, "Behind all these rapid developments, there is a mindset which stems from the US and the Israeli regime." According to Pars Today, Araghchi added, "After Gaza, they came to Lebanon and then Syria and, in my opinion, this will not stop in Syria and the entire region is facing a threat."
Iran's foreign minister continued, "Before Syria, the threats were limited to the Zionist regime, but now, the threats of Takfiri terrorist groups have been added to it, and what should be noted is that, these armed groups in Syria have been recognized and introduced as terrorist groups by the United Nations."
Referring to the silence of those countries which claim to struggle against terrorism or their support for terrorists, he added, "In their opinion, there are two kinds of terrorism, namely, 'good and bad'. If this terrorism complies with their objectives, they support it; but if it is against their interests, they fight it."
The Iranian foreign minister, also, pointed to the developments of Bu Kamal which will make the Syrian situation more complicated, and said, "Closing a crossing is not that effective and the resistance groups know what way to choose."
Araghchi stated, "Sometimes, terrorism should be nipped in the bud, and sometimes, it should be countered in borders. There are different methods for this."
