Iran among top nations in radiopharmaceuticals

Pars Today- Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), informed of the country's joining the top producers of radiopharmaceuticals.

Mohammad Eslami, Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, said on Wednesday evening, "The entire nuclear energy industry of Iran is trying in the path of development and the most possible exploitation of various titles of the nuclear technology." According to Pars Today, Eslami added, "Acceleration in building of nuclear power plants, launching of radiation systems to assist agriculture, thriving of mineral economy, benefiting from plasma technology for curing cancer and, also, production of radiopharmaceuticals needed for the public has put Iran among the top producing nations. This is a part of the glories of honorable Iran's children which our young scientists have attained."

Iran's nuclear scientists have succeeded during the recent years to make a variety of widely used products needed for scientific and research centers in the country. For instance, the Iranian scientists have achieved important discoveries in the field of diagnosis and treatment of cancer which will be put in clinical trial. Iran is among the five top nations in this field.
