Iraqi resistance forces: We shot down a US refueling aircraft

Pars Today – The Islamic Resistance of Iraq issued a statement declaring that it has downed a US aerial refueling aircraft in western Iraq.

According to Pars Today citing IRIB news agency, while US Central Command had earlier announced the crash of a KC‑135 refueling aircraft in Iraqi airspace—claiming the incident occurred without being hit by hostile fire—the Islamic Resistance of Iraq stated that its fighters, in defense of their nation’s sovereignty and airspace, shot down the aircraft in western Iraq using an appropriate weapon.

Some reports indicate that all crew members onboard the US military aircraft were killed.

It has also been reported that another US refueling aircraft involved in supporting the American aggression was present at the scene of the confrontation but managed to land safely in the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
