Protesters, police clash outside US embassy in Beirut
Clashes have erupted between Lebanese security forces and people protesting US President Donald Trump’s recognition of al-Quds as the" capital" of the illegal Zionist entity.
According to reports, police on Sunday used water cannon and tear gas to disperse the protesters who had gathered outside the US embassy in Beirut.
Following Trump’s statement, massive protests against the United States broke out across the Muslim world, and even in many Western cities.
Large crowds of worshipers in Muslim countries staged anti-US marches after Friday prayers, some stomping on posters of Trump or burning the US flags.
On Saturday, demonstrators in Indonesia gathered outside the US embassy in Jakarta to show solidarity with the Palestinian people.
