Palestinian analyst: Settlers commit crimes under PA’s silence

Pars Today – A Palestinian political analyst has condemned a new settler attack in northern Ramallah, in which two Palestinians were martyred, saying the crimes occur amid the silence and inaction of the Palestinian Authority (PA).

Omar Assaf said the murder of two young men in the town of Sinjil stems from the unrestrained political and military support settlers receive from the Israeli cabinet and military, as well as the PA’s failure to deter such attacks.

Assaf stressed that what happened in Sinjil is part of ongoing settler violence in the West Bank, carried out under the protection of the Israeli military, while the PA fails to fulfill its security role to defend Palestinian civilians or prevent repeated assaults.
