Lebanese Minister of the Displaced and Leader of the Democratic Party, Talal Arslan, underlines that Iran's power and diplomatic efforts thwarted different plots hatched by enemies against the regional states.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran foiled many plots hatched against the regional nations, specially in Syria, and changed the regional equations in favor of the nations," Arslan said in a meeting with Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Jaberi Ansari in Beirut on Wednesday.
"We fully support Iran's policy of contacts with different Lebanese groups and we believe that the Middle-East region needs the Islamic Republic of Iran and its active role in the fight against the terrorist groups," he added.
Jaberi Ansari, for his part, underscored the need for maintaining unity in Lebanon and among the regional states.
Iran is providing Iraq and Syria with military advisory and humanitarian aid in their fight against terrorist groups.
