Israeli forces have arrested two Palestinian teenagers over alleged stabbing attacks in two separate incidents in the occupied West Bank.

According to the Palestinian media, quoting Israeli sources, the alleged attacks left one Israeli soldier dead and a settler wounded in the eastern part of the occupied city of al-Quds.

During the first incident on Monday afternoon, an Israeli soldier was allegedly injured by a 13-year-old Palestinian from Shuafat refugee camp. The soldier, who later died at hospital, was also shot mistakenly by an Israeli settler who intended to shoot the Palestinian teen.

During the second incident, a 14-year-old Palestinian teen also from Shuafat refugee camp allegedly injured an Israeli settler in the Old City of al-Quds.

According to Israeli sources, the settler was only mildly wounded and transferred to the hospital.

The Palestinian teens were arrested by Israeli forces.

The new incidents come amid heightened tensions between Palestinians and Israeli forces and settlers across the occupied territories.

Earlier on Monday, the regime’s forces martyred a young Palestinian man during a raid in the West Bank city of Nablus. The fatality came only a few hours after another young Palestinian lost his life from wounds sustained earlier when Israeli military forces raided the northern West Bank city of Jenin.
